A SOUND OF THUNDER - BY RAY BRADBURY, 1952

It is sure a interesting story to read, but in some aspects, it’s boring. The worst part was that the ending could be easily predicted. In the first part, the story introduces unneeded informations such as who will be the president, and stuff. In addition, mentioning people to be careful about changing the future during the expedition gives us a slight view of what will the ending be like. It would have been a good plot twist without these evidences. When most of informations are given, it makes the ending predictable, which makes readers get loose. On the other hand, making readers thinking about how situations are going on keeps readers on track.
I really enjoyed the concept of Time Traveling. It gave me a feeling of watching an good episode of “Doctor Who”. It is really amazing to write about stories like this at that time, as subjects like these were recently popular. It would have been hard for the author to imagine this kind of story. To add more things, a story with a non-hero looking protagonist following the steps of Hero’s journey was something new, as Eckels keep on showing that he is scared during the story.
